Solway View Campsite opened in 2007. We brought together our best camping memories and our beautiful location to make Solway View. We hope you will stay and make happy memories too.
Solway View is located within Balmangan Farm, a 330 acre beef and sheep farm. Any time of year, you can enjoy walking the farm/nature trail and the adjoining woodland. You should see lots of nature and may even see a red squirrel or some roe deer. We are also located within the UNESCO Galloway & Southern Ayrshire Biosphere that covers 5268 square kilometre of SW Scotland.
Balmangan Farm is beside the sea. Feel free to go paddling, swimming, fishing or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the little secluded bay just a short walk from the site. We are a short car drive from two lovely bathing beaches, Brighouse Bay & Dhoon Bay.
Our region, Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland is full of stunning scenery. 200 miles of breath-taking coastline, glorious rolling hill ranges, forest park, Dark Skies Park and lush countryside. There are picturesque villages and towns dotted along the way. Borgue village is nearby and has a great pub with a very warm welcome and delicious food. The towns of Gatehouse-of-Fleet, Kirkcudbright & Castle Douglas are nearby and well worth a visit.
If you love the great outdoors, sightseeing, touring, cycling, stargazing, activities or you simply wish just to relax, everything you want is here at Solway View in Dumfries and Galloway.

Such a peaceful location. Stunning views, friendly owners, clean facilities, hot showers, fire pits with BBQ grills and benches on pitches. Lovely beaches nearby for safe paddling.

A great place to stay to explore the area. The camp site has great facilities, including a laundry room! There’s a few lovely walks right from the campsite you can take with beautiful views. A very friendly family run site who helped us hugely when our van wouldn’t start - would definitely recommend and would definitely return!

Just spent two fabulous nights at this gem of a camp site. Fantastic location with walks as long or short as you want on your doorstep. Very quiet and dog friendly. Dog exercise area was a huge bonus. Facilities first class too. Highly recommended
